CBS's legal drama Elsbeth has revealed its first wave of guest stars for Season 4, which premieres on 8 October. Nicole Scherzinger, Nicholas Braun, New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby and Jemima Kirke will all appear in the new season, joining Carrie Preston as she reprises her role as unconventional attorney Elsbeth Tascioni. The casting news matters for fans of the show, which enters its fourth season promising fresh murder cases alongside family drama and mounting pressure on Elsbeth and Wendell Pierce's Captain Wagner at the 11th Precinct.

Scherzinger will feature in the season opener as Serena Collyer, a marriage counsellor whose secret affair turns deadly, while the episode also sees character Teddy set a wedding date. Braun will play Jeremy Perrick, son of a celebrated playwright, and Kirke takes on Winter Redgrave, a lifestyle-brand CEO facing a takeover threat from her sister; Anunoby is set for a cameo, with air dates for these three still to be confirmed. The series remains under the stewardship of executive producers Robert King, Michelle King and showrunner Jonathan Tolins, with CBS Studios producing.
