Emile Hirsch has joined Anthony Michael Hall, Claire Forlani and Stephen Lang in the science-fiction action thriller Final Invasion, which is due to begin filming in New Mexico later this year. The project will be introduced to buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival market, making the casting announcement significant for its efforts to secure sales and partners.

The film follows a UAP satellite crash that releases a mutating alien organism, causing an extinction-level threat to humans, animals and ecosystems. Hall plays a Navy SEAL commander, Lang a rear admiral, Hirsch a small-town police officer and Forlani a CDC physician; Josh Sternfeld will direct from a script by producer Patricia A. Beninati, Michael K. Anderson and Jeff Knight.
