Actress Sarah Pidgeon has received her first Emmy nomination, for Lead Actress, for playing Carolyn Bessette in the FX limited series "Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette". Speaking to Deadline from Paris, where she is attending Couture Week as a Chanel Ambassador, she described feeling "buzzy", grateful and "out of body", and praised the wider cast and crew for a collaborative effort she likened to "an orchestra".

The Connor Hines-created, Ryan Murphy-produced series charts the couple's romance from 1990s Manhattan to the plane crash that killed them and Carolyn's sister Lauren. It also earned nominations for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and Supporting Actress Constance Zimmer, and features Naomi Watts, Grace Gummer and Alessandro Nivola. Pidgeon confirmed she has wrapped filming "Honeymoon With Harry" in Australia alongside Kevin Costner and Jake Gyllenhaal, and, addressing recent speculation, said she deeply admires Lena Dunham and would "jump at the chance" to work with her. The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards take place on Monday 14 September.
