Emmy-winning TV producer charged with stalking ex-wife, longtime news anchor, days after divorce

Fox News ·

A North Carolina television producer has been charged with stalking his former wife, WRAL news anchor Lynda Loveland, and violating a domestic violence protective order. The allegations describe months of unwanted contact and appearances near her home, which Loveland said left her afraid for her safety.

An arrest warrant alleges Randall Saunders Kerr drove within 300 yards of Loveland’s home several times a day from 13 to 18 October. Her December 2025 complaint also alleged he sent up to 30 texts a day, monitored her communications and location, and entered her home through an upstairs bathroom window. A judge granted an emergency protective order in December, followed by a consent order in January 2026; the latter contains no findings on the allegations. The couple married in 2001, separated in August 2025 and have three adult children.
