Los Angeles-based artist Empress Of has released a new single, 'SYW', featuring Cecile Believe, ahead of her forthcoming album 'Dream House'. The track forms part of a wider body of work shaped by the devastating LA wildfires of the previous year, during which the singer lost and subsequently rebuilt her family home, giving the record its themes of community and renewal.

'SYW', which stands for "say you wanna", opens with Empress Of's solo vocal before building into club-focused, surging beats, with lyrics alluding to the disaster's emotional aftermath. Empress Of described the collaboration with Cecile Believe as "such a dream" and praised the song's urgent, energetic contribution to the album's narrative. 'Dream House' is set for release on 18th September 2026.
