Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton has signed a new two-year contract, ending speculation over her future after her previous deal was due to expire this summer. Keeping the 25-year-old England international was seen as a priority for the club as it looks to rebuild following a disappointing 2025-26 season, in which several senior players departed once their contracts ran out.

Hampton joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2023 and has since established herself as first-choice goalkeeper for both club and country, winning five trophies in west London and playing a key role in England's Euro 2025 triumph. She also won the Yashin Trophy for the world's best goalkeeper at last year's Ballon d'Or and has claimed back-to-back WSL Golden Glove awards. Her new deal follows recent contract extensions for fellow England internationals Lucy Bronze and Aggie Beever-Jones, after Chelsea saw players including Sam Kerr, Guro Reiten and Millie Bright leave the club this summer.
