Epic reaches lawsuit settlement with former contractor who was also a notorious Fortnite leaker

PC Gamer · 5 days ago

Epic Games has resolved legal action against a former contractor it identified as the source of AdiraFN, an anonymous social media account that consistently revealed confidential Fortnite partnership details prior to their public announcement. The company alleged that Hayden Cohen, who had signed a non-disclosure agreement, systematically used X and Discord accounts to broadcast proprietary information about upcoming collaborations.

The settlement requires court approval of a permanent injunction preventing the defendant from possessing, accessing, using, or disclosing Epic's confidential and trade secret information, or assisting others in doing so. Epic's corporate communications director stated the legal action was undertaken to protect confidential partner intellectual property and prevent future unauthorised releases of sensitive business information.
