My Block Records, the independent music label founded by producer Warryn Campbell, has sued its former distributor SRG/ILS Group in New York federal court, alleging the company never sent a single royalty statement across three album releases. The lawsuit highlights a significant breakdown in payment accountability within the music distribution sector, raising concerns about artist compensation and transparency.

My Block claims the three albums—Brand New (2022), Four Walls (2023), and Erica Campbell's I Love You (2023)—generated over 113 million streams and more than $1 million in sales between 2022 and 2024, yet received zero royalty statements from SRG/ILS. The complaint further alleges that SRG/ILS failed to deliver promised marketing support and did not provide evidence of marketing expenditure as contractually required. My Block is seeking damages exceeding $1 million plus interest and legal fees, with the two parties having terminated their distribution agreement in December 2023.
