Erykah Badu and producer The Alchemist have announced full details of their 16-track collaborative album, Before the World Blows: The Abi and Alan Experiment, due for release on Friday 28 August. The project brings together two influential artists from different musical spheres and will be supported by a North American tour in the autumn.

The album includes the singles “Next 2 You” and “Witch Doctor”, alongside appearances from Thundercat, Earl Sweatshirt, Steve Lacy, Kamasi Washington, Westside Gunn, DRAM and others. Fans can also take part in an online challenge that may lead to a video call with Badu, with some conversations set to feature in the album’s wider promotional campaign.
