ESPN’s Adam Schefter is expected to co-host NFL Network’s flagship evening programme, “The Insiders”, weekly this autumn, marking his first appearance on the channel since leaving it in 2009. The move reflects ESPN’s wider effort to combine talent and programming following its acquisition of NFL Network, ahead of ESPN’s first Super Bowl broadcast in February.

Schefter is likely to present the Wednesday edition during the NFL season alongside existing NFL Network reporters, after Tom Pelissero left for The Ringer and Netflix. ESPN reporters Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano will also appear, while several NFL Network personalities are set to feature on ESPN; Schefter and Ian Rapoport have both recently agreed long-term contracts.
