Este Haim Says Ursula & Stevie Nicks Inspired Her ‘Witchy’ Role as Marvel’s Newest Villain, Chooses Taylor Swift’s Most Autumnal Song

Este Haim has made her voice-acting debut as Hallow’s Eve, a mischievous Marvel villain in the animated special *Marvel’s Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team Up*. The role fulfils a wish she says she wrote in her diary more than a decade ago, and brings together her love of Halloween, Disney villains and Fall Out Boy.

The special premiered in late September on Disney Jr. and Disney+. Hallow’s Eve and Jack O’Lantern try to ruin Halloween, prompting Spider-Man to join forces with Iron Man, Captain America and Hulk; Haim also sings a duet with Jack O’Lantern voice actor Patrick Stump. To prepare, she listened to Stevie Nicks and Ursula’s “Poor Unfortunate Souls”, among other villainous inspirations.
