EUROPE’s long-awaited documentary is expected to arrive in early 2027, according to singer Joey Tempest, although the band is still seeking a platform to release it. The film will trace the Swedish hard rock group’s journey from its formation and 1980s breakthrough through personal and professional difficulties, its 1990s decline, and its revival in the new millennium.

The documentary has been produced and directed by Craig Hooper of Coolhead Productions, with editing continuing to bring the story up to the present day. It will combine recent touring footage with previously unseen VHS recordings made by EUROPE’s first manager, including backstage and hotel-room scenes filmed in locations such as Japan, Tokyo and San Francisco from the mid-1980s to 1992. Earlier plans also mentioned interviews with members of GHOST and ABBA’s Benny Andersson.
