Eurovision organisers are considering major voting changes to reduce the impact of coordinated campaigns intended to influence the contest’s result. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) says persistent politically motivated voting is damaging confidence in the competition, particularly after controversy over Israel’s strong public-vote performance in 2025.

The proposals would move audience voting entirely online and require viewers to choose several favourites, such as a top three, rather than casting repeated votes for one act. Viewers can currently vote up to 10 times; the limit was reduced from 20 for 2026 after Israeli government-linked accounts encouraged multiple votes for contestant Yuval Raphael, who received 297 public-vote points and finished runner-up despite placing 15th with juries.
