Event Horizon: Pandemonium Takes the Iconic Horror Franchise From Hell to Heaven | Comic Con 2026

IDW has announced Event Horizon: Pandemonium, the third and final instalment in writer Christian Ward's series of comics expanding the Event Horizon film universe, unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. The series follows Event Horizon: Dark Descent (2025) and the ongoing Event Horizon: Inferno, and concludes a trilogy Ward says he planned from the outset, introducing the idea that the franchise's cosmic-horror universe has its own version of Heaven — one he describes as even more terrifying than Hell.

Pandemonium is written by Ward, who also provides cover art, with interior art by Hernán González, known for John Carpenter's Tales for a Halloween Night. Speaking to IGN, Ward explained that his pitch for Dark Descent included an appendix outlining the trilogy's future direction, and that Pandemonium draws on Biblically accurate depictions of angels and God to portray Heaven as an alien, overwhelming and hostile realm rather than a place of comfort. Further plot details remain limited while Event Horizon: Inferno is still being published.
