‘Everybody Digs Bill Evans’ Getting Oscar-Qualifying Run From Cohen Media Group; Watch The Trailer

Cohen Media Group will give *Everybody Digs Bill Evans* an Oscar-qualifying run in New York before its wider release. The film, an unconventional biopic of jazz pianist Bill Evans, follows his grief and decline after the death of bassist Scott LaFaro.

The film opens at New York’s Quad on 4 December, with a wider release beginning 9 January 2027. Anders Danielsen Lie plays Evans, with Bill Pullman and Laurie Metcalf as his parents; the distributor plans to submit all three actors for awards. Director Grant Gee won a Silver Bear at this year’s Berlin Film Festival, where the film premiered in competition.
