A new exhibition called "Spirit of '76", created as part of the America 250 celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of US independence, is spotlighting lesser-known figures from the American Revolutionary War. Designed by Matthew Taylor, the display aims to move beyond famous founding fathers to celebrate ordinary patriots whose contributions to securing American independence have largely been forgotten by the public.

The exhibit features striking centrepieces, including a 23-foot bronze statue depicting a figure holding the Declaration of Independence aloft, alongside an equestrian statue commemorating Caesar Rodney's celebrated overnight ride to cast a decisive vote for independence. Taylor gave Fox News Digital an exclusive guided tour, recounting the stories behind these unsung heroes as part of the broader America 250 initiative tied to the anniversary.
