Apple used its first fall hardware event under new CEO John Ternus, dubbed "Surprise and Sunshine," to unveil its long-rumoured foldable iPhone alongside updated Pro models and smartwatches. The headline reveal was the iPhone Duo, Apple's debut foldable, joined by the iPhone 18 Pro range with a reworked camera system, and modest but AI-focused software upgrades for the Apple Watch line.

– Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4: no major hardware redesign, but new "Audio Intelligence" software features including "Live Rewind" (replays the last 15 seconds of conversation as text), "Siri Recap" for summarising key moments, and "Sound Recognition" alerts for sirens, alarms, doorbells and crying babies, aimed at hard-of-hearing users and rival AI wearables.
