Jake Wright, the former Sheffield United midfielder, has moved from professional football into secondary education, taking up a leadership role at Newfield School. Following four years as a player with the club, Wright now serves as head of Year 8, a position in which he oversees pastoral care and academic development for pupils in that cohort.

The switch marks the next chapter of Wright's career after his time in the professional game. In moving from the dressing room to the classroom, he brings the experience and discipline gained from his sporting background to his new role, taking responsibility for guiding and supporting students at the school.
