Exceleration Music is an independent record label group founded in 2021 by five experienced music executives, and it has built up a portfolio of investments in indie labels such as Mom+Pop, Cooking Vinyl and Yep Roc Records. It also runs its own distribution company, Redeye Worldwide, which handles getting music into shops and onto streaming platforms for the labels it works with. Reach Records, meanwhile, is an Atlanta-based Christian hip-hop label whose artists include co-founder Lecrae, along with Jackie Hill Perry, Hulvey, KB, Andy Mineo and Limoblaze.

The two companies have now agreed a partnership under which Exceleration, through Redeye Worldwide, will provide Reach Records with worldwide physical and digital distribution and marketing support. Reach will keep its own creative direction and day-to-day leadership, with the deal essentially widening its commercial reach rather than changing how it operates. This is notable partly because it is the first time Exceleration has partnered with a hip-hop label or a Christian music label.

The wider significance lies in what the deal signals about independent and faith-based music reaching bigger global audiences through established distribution networks, rather than any single release. It also reflects a broader pattern of larger indie groups like Exceleration expanding their reach by partnering with or investing in smaller specialist labels.
