Image Comics and James Tynion IV's Tiny Onion imprint are launching Exquisite Corpses: Fox Mask Killer, a spinoff of the anthology horror series Exquisite Corpses, focusing on one of the universe's most feared assassins. The series expands the shared-world format created by Tynion and Michael Walsh, giving a single recurring character her own dedicated storyline for the first time, and reunites writer Che Grayson and artist Adam Gorham, who previously worked together on the character within the main title.

The five-issue-style limited series follows the Fox Mask Killer as she attempts to leave her life as a hired killer behind, aided by a mysterious figure described as "the devil herself." Exquisite Corpses: Fox Mask Killer #1 is due for release on 16 September, with a final order cutoff for retailers of 24 August; IGN has shared an exclusive preview of interior artwork ahead of publication. The wider Exquisite Corpses franchise has also recently expanded into a tabletop card game, which has been successfully funded on Kickstarter.
