‘Fall 2: Deadpoint’ First Look Will Scare You More Than Any Horror or Slasher [Exclusive]
Collider has revealed an exclusive first look at Fall 2: Deadpoint, the sequel to 2022's vertigo-inducing thriller Fall. Directed by twin filmmakers Peter and Michael Spierig, the follow-up relocates the action from an abandoned desert television tower to a towering mountain in Thailand, where two climbers become trapped high above the ground and must fight for survival against sheer exposure and impossible odds. The move to a new setting matters because it signals the franchise's ambition to expand in scale while keeping the simple, primal fear at its core.
The sequel stars Harriet Slater as Jax Hunter, Arsema Thomas as Luce and Tom Brittney as Jon Platt, with the Spierig Brothers—known for Jigsaw, Daybreakers and Predestination—describing their approach as preserving a simple survival premise while changing the environment entirely. The new peril centres on a perilous wooden plank walk inspired by China's Huashan Plank Walk, regarded as one of the world's most dangerous hikes, which the directors say gave the film a fresh visual identity distinct from the original. The newly released images depict the narrow pathway clinging to a sheer rock face with a vast drop below.
