‘Fallout 5’ Officially Confirms Gameplay Update Ahead of Season 3

Collider · 2 hours ago

Bethesda boss Todd Howard has given an update on Fallout 5's development, expressing confidence in the technical team's ability to build the game without major setbacks. Speaking to Windows Central, Howard said the studio had worked out how to develop the ambitious project in parallel rather than facing "constant stops and restarts", suggesting the game's production is proceeding smoothly even though a release remains several years away.

Fallout 5 was only officially confirmed a few weeks ago, and with Bethesda prioritising The Elder Scrolls 6 first, it is unlikely to launch before 2030. The update comes as Prime Video's Fallout series, whose second season aired earlier in 2026, prepares for a third season due in 2027. Howard praised his designers and technical staff for consistently finding ways to realise ambitious ideas, and with the franchise's growing popularity across games and television, Fallout 5 is expected to be one of the industry's biggest future releases.
