Fambot, a new startup, has launched what it calls an "AI chief of staff" for families, aiming to help parents manage the mental load of children's schedules, school communications and household logistics. The company was founded by former Instagram engineer Greg Karlin and CEO David Reich, an ex-Uber product head and father of three, alongside co-founder Jason Morrow, previously of Google and LinkedIn. Reich said he built the tool after finding himself spending an hour each evening catching up on emails instead of spending time with his children, reflecting a wider problem faced by parents juggling multiple communication channels.

Families connect their email, calendar and relevant WhatsApp groups to Fambot, which then proactively generates a daily checklist of to-dos and upcoming calendar events, using a mix of AI models that the company says do not train on user data. Unlike text-only rivals such as Poke or Instinct, Fambot also offers web and mobile app interfaces, with plans to integrate directly with school, sports and club platforms over time. The company cites 43 million US families with children under 16 as its target market and says it tested the product with more than 1,000 families before launch, finding demand extended beyond dual-income households.
