An 18-year-old woman was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound inside a Boston residence on Saturday afternoon in the Mattapan neighbourhood. The home is owned by the husband of Democratic Massachusetts Representative Ayanna Pressley. Police responded to the scene around 1:52 p.m. following reports of the incident.

The victim's family identified her as Yoseliani Marte through a crowdfunding campaign and stated she had been killed as a result of domestic violence. While authorities have not yet made an official identification, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains ongoing.
