The family of 17-year-old Elizabeth "Lizzy" Barrett in Fremont County, Wyoming, is pleading for help finding her more than a week after she reportedly climbed out of her bedroom window overnight and disappeared. Her parents say the disappearance is completely out of character, and they are appealing publicly for information as police continue to search for her.

Lizzy has not been contactable since 8 September, according to the Wyoming Missing Persons database. She is 5ft 4in, weighs around 134lbs, has brown hair and brown eyes, and was believed to be wearing a grey sweatshirt, jeans and pink trainers. She took some clothing, a maroon backpack and two older phones without active service, but left her working phone behind, which her parents believe was deliberate to avoid being tracked. She is thought to have left on foot from the family's home in Pavillion, a small rural town of around 230 people within the Wind River Indian Reservation, and police say there is no evidence anyone else was involved.
