The Busan International Film Festival is a major film event in South Korea, bringing together filmmakers, audiences and the screen industry. Its Carte Blanche programme invites film figures to choose works that have influenced them and talk about those choices with audiences.
The Busan Story Market runs alongside the festival as a place for people in film and television to find stories and discuss rights to adapt them. Its selections include projects from across Asia, while a remake rights section gives buyers the chance to explore adapting existing films for new audiences.
Together, the festival and market connect film culture with the business of developing and adapting screen stories. Their programmes offer a way to see which films and projects are being presented to audiences and industry professionals.
