Fans Choose JENNIE’s ‘Fallen Angel’ as This Week’s Favorite New Music
JENNIE, the BLACKPINK member, has topped Billboard's weekly new music poll with her latest release, Fallen Angel, beating out new material from artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Ky-Mani Marley, Alex Warren and Alabama Shakes. The result underlines the strength of her solo pull with fans, coming just over a year after her full-length solo debut, Ruby.

JENNIE is a member of Blackpink, the South Korean girl group, and has been building a solo career alongside the band's work. Fallen Angel is her latest solo release, following her debut solo album Ruby from the previous year, and forms part of a wider push by K-pop stars to succeed as individual artists in Western markets as well as at home.
Billboard runs a regular reader poll asking fans to vote for their favourite new music release of the week, pitting tracks from different genres and artists against each other. Wins in this poll are a measure of fan engagement and online voting power rather than sales or chart performance, and are often closely watched as an indicator of an artist's fanbase strength.
The result matters because it shows JENNIE's ability to draw large numbers of engaged fans in a poll that included established Western acts, reflecting the broader trend of K-pop artists gaining traction with international audiences.
