Fans expressed disappointment after The Fugees' headline set at Lauryn Hill's Diaspora Calling! festival was abruptly cut short by a strict curfew, leaving several classic songs unperformed. The event, held at Milton Keynes National Bowl on 7 August, marked the first UK edition of the Hill-curated festival, and also featured Erykah Badu, Giggs and Fireboy DML, with Dave Chappelle as host. Microphones for Hill and Wyclef Jean were switched off mid-performance due to legal restrictions on noise beyond 11pm, cutting the show short just an hour after it began.

The 14-song set included Fugees favourites such as "The Score" and "Vocab", plus Hill solo tracks and a collaboration with Erykah Badu, but ended while the pair were still performing "Ready or Not", forcing Hill to close with an a capella rendition. Songs including "Killing Me Softly With His Song" and "Fu-Gee-La" went unplayed, prompting frustration from fans on social media, some of whom called it one of the worst festival experiences they'd had. Wyclef Jean later said the group were "really sad" about the ending but hoped to return next year, having also teased the possibility of new Fugees studio material.
