The alleged stolen data may include names, home addresses, Social Security numbers, work assignments and some family members’ names, potentially affecting nearly all FBI agents and applicants. Experts warned that combining personal and employment details could enable convincing scams or create counter-intelligence risks, while stressing that the hackers’ claims have not yet been independently confirmed by the FBI.
