FC 27 Ultimate Team deep dive Pitch notes: FUT Gallery, SBC changes, and more

Destructoid · 3 hours ago

EA Sports has previewed changes coming to Ultimate Team in FC 27, its football simulation game, ahead of the title's release later this year. The update signals that while the mode's core structure remains familiar, EA is reworking progression systems and adding new features designed to give players more ways to earn rewards and greater control over squad building.

The headline addition is the "FUT Gallery", a new collection system that lets players build themed sets (by club, nation, and other categories) using cards they have owned at any point, rather than requiring them to hold the card in their current squad as with Squad Building Challenges. Completing sets earns gallery points based on card rarity and rating, pushing players through grades from tier D up to S, which unlock club cosmetics and gallery tokens redeemable for "Hall of FUT" store items. FC 27 will also introduce single-player live events for the first time, pitting users against progressively harder AI opponents across multiple rounds, culminating in an "Ultimate" difficulty AI squad in the final.

  • FC 27 Ultimate Team gets new FUT Gallery collection and grading system.
  • Cards can fill themed sets even if not currently owned.
  • Single-player live events against AI opponents are being added.
