German producer Fejká has released "We Were There," his debut original track for the Colorize label, featuring long-time collaborator Kim Van Loo on vocals. The pair first began writing together during the Covid-19 lockdowns, and the track continues Fejká's signature melodic house sound, which favours atmosphere and mood over conventional drops.

The release follows Fejká's 2023 remix of Klur's "Apologue" for Colorize, marking the first fully original work he has produced for the label. Raised in Germany's Black Forest and mentored early on by Christian Löffler, Fejká studied film before turning to music production, an influence reflected in the cinematic quality of his releases, which have collectively amassed more than 100 million streams. The single's release coincides with his upcoming Colorize North America tour, which includes shows in Toronto and New York.
