FILTER frontman Richard Patrick has confirmed that his side project A Place To Kill, formed with There Is No Us vocalist Jim Louvau, will release a second EP within the next couple of months. Speaking to Tucson radio station KFMA, Patrick said the pair's spontaneous, low-friction songwriting process has let them keep producing material quickly, avoiding the creative burnout he believes causes most bands to split. The duo also discussed the possibility of eventually taking the project on the road, potentially opening for FILTER or appearing at festivals.

The project released its debut seven-track EP, "APTK", in June, and Patrick said the follow-up will be issued as a series of singles over the coming months rather than all at once, accompanied by music videos, before eventually being packaged with the first EP as a combined release, such as a vinyl or CD. Any live show would reportedly be a stripped-back two-man performance with fog machines and lighting, drawing comparison to an EDM-style setup rather than a full band. Patrick and Louvau first met in 2008 and have known each other for years through the music and photography scenes before formalising the collaboration.
