FILTER’s New Album ‘The Antidote’ Is ‘Moments Away From Being Done’: ‘I’m Really Excited To Release It’, Says RICHARD PATRICK

FILTER frontman Richard Patrick says the band’s new album, tentatively titled *The Antidote*, is nearly finished and is expected in early 2027. It follows 2023’s *The Algorithm* and continues its industrial-influenced direction, while aiming to draw on different sides of FILTER’s sound.

Mix engineer Brian Virtue is still making adjustments before the record is mastered, likely by Howie Weinberg. Patrick describes the album as heavy but also bright and melodic; its first song, “Snakes In The Grass”, is industrial in style and has already been played live. He says he writes primarily to satisfy his own artistic instincts, while hoping the record also gives fans the range they expect.
