Final Fantasy 14 has released patch 7.55, which winds down several long-running storylines as the Dawntrail expansion approaches its conclusion ahead of next year's Evercold expansion. The update completes the Phantom Weapons relic quest line, allowing all Dawntrail relic weapons to reach their final upgrade tier, and also brings the Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures and the allied society quests to a close.

The patch adds North Horn to the Occult Crescent field operation, alongside new phantom jobs Blue Mage and Black Mage, and reduces the cost of upgrading subsequent Phantom Weapons. It also tweaks the Dancing Mad (Ultimate) raid by improving the visibility of the Celestriad ability's elemental icons, following an earlier hotfix that addressed a troublesome mechanic. Cosmetic additions include a new hairstyle, mounts, emotes, furnishings and a picnic-themed chocobo barding. Patch 7.56 is due in September and will begin laying groundwork for Evercold.
