Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the concluding chapter of the FF7 Remake trilogy, will launch on 8 April 2027, but the trilogy's story will continue further through two additional story DLC episodes. Revealed via the PlayStation Blog following a State of Play presentation, the expansions will focus on fan-favourite characters Sephiroth and Vincent Valentine, giving Square Enix a further opportunity to expand the remake trilogy's narrative beyond the base game's release.

The two chapters, currently titled "Story DLC 1: Sephiroth" and "Story DLC 2: Vincent & the Turks," will be bundled into a Story Expansion Pass as part of Revelation's Premium Edition, though they will also be sold separately, with pricing yet to be announced. Both are expected to release between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028. Director Naoki Hamaguchi has previously suggested such DLC would explore "untold stories" rather than retread established lore, echoing the approach taken with Remake's Yuffie-focused Episode INTERmission, which ran to roughly six hours. Revelation itself will launch on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, PC and Xbox Series X.
