Zenonia 1, a Korean mobile RPG originally released by Gamevil in 2008, has arrived on PC via Steam, marking the first time the game has been officially playable on Windows. The title, which drew comparisons to a hybrid of Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda thanks to its overhead action combat and character designs, had disappeared from most storefronts, including the iPhone App Store, after earlier releases on iOS, Android, Nintendo DSi and PSP. Its return highlights an often-overlooked corner of mobile gaming history, when phones proved capable of running substantial, original console-style RPGs rather than just licensed spin-offs.

The PC port retains Zenonia 1's core structure while replacing the on-screen D-pad with keyboard and controller support. Players control Regret, a 17-year-old searching for the truth behind his adoptive father's death, choosing between Paladin, Warrior and Assassin classes, each with its own skill tree and access to hundreds of weapons. The game also features a dynamic morality system affecting Regret's alignment, alongside hunger and equipment-weight mechanics that influence stats and movement, with a full playthrough taking roughly 15 to 30 hours.
