Square Enix will show a “new look” at Final Fantasy VII Revelation during Gamescom Opening Night Live on 25 August 2026. The presentation matters because Revelation is the third and final instalment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake series, and the event may provide the clearest new information since its unveiling at Summer Game Fest.

Game director Naoki Hamaguchi will present the segment. Revelation is planned for a simultaneous release on all platforms, including Switch 2, in spring 2027; it follows Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Remake Intergrade arriving on Switch 2 earlier in 2026.
