Bandai Namco will release Tales of Eternia Remastered on 16 October 2026, bringing the 2000 PlayStation role-playing game to current consoles and PC. The release is the fourth entry in the publisher’s Tales Remaster Project and offers a chance for newer players to experience a comparatively overlooked instalment in a long-running series often seen as a rival to Final Fantasy.

Originally released outside Japan in 2001 as Tales of Destiny 2 despite not being a direct sequel, the game follows hunter Reid and the otherworldly Meredy as they become involved in a conflict between two parallel worlds. The remaster includes refreshed pixel art and anime cut-scenes, while allowing players to switch to the original visuals and sound effects; it also adds options such as faster battles, increased experience gains, adjustable encounter rates and destination markers. It will launch on Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X.
