Finneas has been announced as the keynote speaker for the Guild of Music Supervisors' 12th annual State of Music in Media Conference. The two-time Oscar winner and 11-time Grammy winner will appear on 15 August at 10:30am at West Los Angeles College in Culver City, California, with his session moderated by writer Diallo Riddle, reflecting his growing profile in conversations about music's role in storytelling across film and television.

Finneas's keynote, titled "Inside the Importance of Music and Its Powerful Connection to Story", forms part of a wider programme featuring Emmy-nominated composers, songwriters and music supervisors, including panellists from shows such as The Pitt, Stranger Things, The Boys and Hacks. The conference, run by the nonprofit Guild founded in 2010, is open only to its members and friends, and will also offer sessions on music clearance and getting music placed with supervisors.
