Fiona Apple & The Bolt Cutters Cover Mother Earth’s “Revolution” For Doctors Without Borders Benefit Comp

Fiona Apple has joined Davíd Garza, Sebastian Steinberg and Amy Aileen Wood, collectively known as The Bolt Cutters, to record a cover of Mother Earth’s “Revolution”. The song is intended to mark a recent election described by the group as a source of hope, while connecting that moment to wider calls for justice, dignity and peace.

The musicians recorded their parts remotely across the United States, with Wood bringing them together. The track will feature on *Right Now*, a protest-song album produced by Dougie Bowne, and all profits from the album will go to Doctors Without Borders. The group’s statement cites issues including war and displacement, reproductive rights, immigration, Indigenous rights and the use of public money.
