Nintendo has announced a Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave-themed Nintendo Direct, a short online video presentation the company uses to reveal news and gameplay footage for upcoming titles. Fortune's Weave is the next instalment in the long-running Fire Emblem series, a tactical role-playing game franchise in which players command squads of characters through turn-based battles, often with permanent consequences if units are defeated. This particular game is due out on the Nintendo Switch 2, the company's newer games console.

Fire Emblem has a dedicated fanbase built up over more than three decades, and each new entry typically draws close attention for its story, characters and battle mechanics. Nintendo has not yet shown much of Fortune's Weave in detail, so this broadcast is expected to be one of the fullest looks at the game so far, ahead of its release later in 2026.
