Five men have been arrested on suspicion of raping a woman in her 30s at a house in Ipswich, Suffolk, after police were called to reports of a serious sexual assault. The alleged attack took place in the early hours of Sunday, and the woman is now being supported by specialist trained officers as detectives investigate.

The men arrested are aged 27, 31, 35, 44 and 49, and all remain in police custody for questioning. A crime scene has been set up at Curriers Lane in Ipswich, where the assault is alleged to have occurred, and Suffolk Police say there will be an increased presence on the road while the investigation continues. Officers, led by Detective Chief Inspector Craig Brett, have appealed to anyone with information to come forward.
