Following BioWare’s shock closure, a new documentary capturing its final moments is coming next year

A documentary about BioWare’s history is due next year, and will include the studio’s recent closure as its final chapter. The film traces the Canadian developer’s story from its 1995 founding to major releases such as Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

Written and directed by Akash Sherman, it features interviews with founders Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk and Augustine Yip, as well as developers, voice actor Jennifer Hale and industry figures. Filming began two years before the closure announcement and continued afterwards. A festival run and world premiere are planned, but no exact release date has been set.
