Fontaines D.C. have added a second 80,000-capacity concert at Ireland's Slane Castle after their first announced date sold out with "phenomenal demand". The Dublin band will now play the historic County Meath venue on both 26 and 27 June 2027, making them only the third Irish act to headline the site after Thin Lizzy and U2, alongside past headliners including The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and Oasis. The move underlines the band's rapidly growing stature following acclaimed festival headline sets this summer.

Support at Slane comes from Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach, with tickets for the new date on general sale from 10am on Thursday 3 September and pre-sale already open. Both Slane shows fall on Glastonbury weekend, fuelling speculation over whether the band could also appear at Worthy Farm, though no 2027 line-up names have yet been confirmed. The announcement follows headline performances at Reading & Leeds and Electric Picnic, and comes ahead of their fifth album, "Dopamine Chamber", due on 16 October via XL Recordings, plus a UK and European arena tour starting in November.
