NME · 3 hours ago

Fontaines D.C. drummer Tom Coll has co-founded Inis Records, an independent Irish music label and online record store, with Richter Collective co-founder Michael Roe and Faction Records’ Ken Allen. The venture aims to strengthen Ireland’s independent music infrastructure by releasing new and reissued records, supporting labels and artists, and creating distinctive physical editions.

Inis will begin with a reissue of Cork art-rock band The Fatima Mansions’ out-of-print 1989 debut, ‘Against Nature’. Planned releases include a traditional Irish music compilation curated by Coll and showband recordings selected by The Mary Wallopers’ Charles Hendy, while the store already carries artists including Fontaines D.C., Enya, Gilla Band, Just Mustard and Bicep.

  • Fontaines D.C.’s Tom Coll co-launches Irish-focused label Inis Records.
  • The label will support releases, reissues and independent distribution.
  • Its first release reissues The Fatima Mansions’ 1989 debut.
