Polygon has launched Point It Out!, a new weekly video game news series hosted by Simone de Rochefort and editor-in-chief Matt Patches. The show aims to examine major gaming stories and their cultural context through a humorous, visually presented format, rather than simply recapping headlines.

The first episode covers introductions and Gamescom 2026, with a recurring quiz or game intended to award points to the hosts and eventually determine an overall winner. Polygon describes the programme as a mid-length alternative to short social videos, podcasts and lengthy YouTube essays; new episodes will be released each Wednesday on Polygon.com, YouTube and podcast platforms.
