Former BURY YOUR DEAD guitarist Eric Ellis has returned to music after more than a decade away, launching a new band called ELLIS and releasing a music video for the track "Manners". His disappearance from the metal scene followed a 2012 conviction and 20-year federal prison sentence for conspiracy and RICO Act violations linked to a violent Jacksonville, Florida gang; the new project marks his effort to rebuild his life and career through music.

ELLIS plays a modern mix of hardcore, metalcore and groove-driven heavy music, and will make its live debut on 1 August at Hardlove in Jacksonville, opening for SOUTHPAW FLHC's record release show for their album "The Standard", out 31 July via Spinefarm. Ellis previously played guitar on BURY YOUR DEAD's 2004 breakout album "Cover Your Tracks", 2006's "Beauty And The Breakdown" and their 2008 self-titled record, before leaving the band that year citing medical reasons and personality differences.
