Former Miramax film executive Munika Lay and indie producer Toni Wang have launched Luna Media, a company developing film, television and digital projects centred on underrepresented stories. Its slate includes the recently completed feature *Tap Twice*, directed by and starring King Bach, while its Luna Lab initiative aims to strengthen representation by supporting emerging Southeast Asian filmmakers.

Luna Lab’s first screenwriting programme selected six finalists from a large applicant pool, giving them stipends, workshops, industry meetings and mentorship before a pitch event in Los Angeles. Lay previously oversaw films including *The Holdovers*, *The Beekeeper* and *Wrath of Man* at Miramax, while Wang’s producing credits include *Drifter*, *Taga* and *A Great Divide*; their finalists’ projects span genres including action, horror and crime, often drawing on Southeast Asian histories and experiences.
