Former NY LOOSE Frontwoman BRIJITTE WEST To Release ‘Brijitte West And The Greenowskis’ Album In November
Former NY LOOSE frontwoman Brijitte West will release *Brijitte West And The Greenowskis* on 13 November, marking her return with a new album. She says its single, “Doin’ Alright”, is a statement that she is still making music, while the record revisits her punk roots and reflects on difficult experiences.
Recorded in Italy with an all-Italian band, including RATS guitarist and singer Wilko Zanni and bassist Lester Greenowski, the 14-track album contains 12 new songs, a Dead Boys cover and an acoustic version of NY LOOSE’s “The Luckiest Girl”. “My Lower East Side” recalls the competitive New York club scene, while other songs address reconnecting with someone, self-harm and the band’s troubled final years. West describes the record as the NY LOOSE album that never was.
