Former Tubi Production Chief Ashla Soter Joins Post House Digital Sword
Post-production house Digital Sword has hired Ashla Soter, former production chief at streamer Tubi, as Executive Producer and SVP of Production. She joins a month after leaving Tubi and will oversee production across the company's entire slate, working with studios, brands and agencies alongside its global editorial, colour, VFX and finishing teams, while also continuing to produce select projects independently.
At Tubi, Soter was the streamer's first production hire for its originals push, spending three years there and overseeing more than 150 scripted and unscripted titles, including the hit "Sidelined: The QB and Me", which grew into a three-film franchise. She has also worked as an independent producer for the past decade, including on the feature documentary "The Chainsaw Artist". Digital Sword founders Cal Laird and Joan Pabon said they needed someone who could "run a full slate and hold the standard on every job," while Soter praised the team's commitment to quality work.
